The Metacomet-Monadnock (M-M) Trail is a 18 mile hiking trail route that has been in existence for over half a century. The M-M travels through 4 communities in New Hampshire, and extends from the MA/NH State line to the summit of Mt. Monadnock in Jaffrey, NH.

    In this section the Trail continues through generally level forest to NH 124. The steep ascent of Grand Monadnock begins almost immediately after crossing NH 124, following the Royce Trail to the Picnic Grove, just north of the site of the old Halfway House. From the hiker follows the White Arrow trail to the summit of Monadnock, the northern end of the NH Metacomet-Monadnock Trail.
